MICHAEL LAU EXHIBITION OPENING PARTY
Held at the James Christie Room in Alexandra House, the inaugural private selling exhibition of local artist Michael Lau, titled Collect Them All!, comprised some 40 unconventional graphic and three-dimensional works exploring the concept “All art are toys, all toys are art.” The show offered viewers a fresh perspective on Lau’s work across a range of media. “We’re thrilled to be working with Michael to host his first ever private selling exhibition at Christie’s,” said Marcello Kwan, Christie’s senior specialist in Asian contemporary art. “Michael is a one-of-a-kind artist whose experience of growing up in Hong Kong has given him a unique perspective on art.”
