With the international success Laure Hériard Dubreuil garnered as founder and president of The Webster, a multi-brand boutique that originated in South Beach, Florida, it seemed like a natural next step for the fashion maven to branch out and create a brand of her own. Dubreuil, who graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, sharpened her sartorial skills at Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga in Paris before opening The Webster. Her vast experience in various markets culminated last year in her establishing LHD, which specialises in colourful ready-to-wear pieces for the seasoned traveller that are perfect for wearing at the holiday hot spots around the world. Inspired by her own favourite destinations, the debut collection, unveiled in November, includes tropical printed separates, embellished raffia bags, candy-coloured rompers and statement jewellery that speak to women who desire whimsical, feminine pieces, whether they’re in Florida or Fiji.
