TIME FOR A CHANGE

-

In response to dramatic changes on the demand side, the luxury watch industry has announced a host of new faces—in the boardroom, not on the dial. Catherine Renier, the Asia-pacific president of Van Cleef & Arpels, took over as CEO of 175-year-old Swiss maison Jaeger-lecoultre from May 1, and Roger Dubuis CEO Jean-marc Pontroué left his post to take on the role of CEO at Panerai in April, following the retirement of veteran Angelo Bonati. In June, Baume & Mercier CEO Alain Zimmermann will become head of e-commerce for the entire Richemont group and Jaeger-lecoultre’s current deputy CEO, Geoffroy Lefebvre, will replace Zimmerman at Baume & Mercier.
