his time of year is ripe for those who hunger for land­mark events in the world of food and wine, and on Novem­ber 19 all eyes will be on the an­nual Best Restau­rants Awards by T.din­ing Hong Kong. The event, now in its 6th edi­tion, will see the city’s lead­ing chefs, restau­ra­teurs and F&B in­dus­try pro­fes­sion­als gather to hear the re­sults of T.din­ing Hong Kong’s an­nual awards, in­clud­ing the year’s new crop of Top 20 Restau­rants and re­cip­i­ents of nu­mer­ous awards, in­clud­ing Chef of the Year, Best Pas­try Chef, Best In­te­rior De­sign, and Lo­cal Cham­pion. Tak­ing place at the new Mar­riott Ocean Park Ho­tel, the evening will cel­e­brate the city’s her­itage as well as pro­mote sus­tain­abil­ity in the restau­rant in­dus­try. While at­ten­dance at the ex­clu­sive awards party is by in­vi­ta­tion only, there are two awards on which you can have your say: vot­ing is un­der way at hongkong­tatler. com for the Read­ers’ Choice awards for Best New Restau­rant and Best New Bar, with a record num­ber of venues mak­ing the short­list, in­clud­ing Vir­gilio Martinez’s Ichu Peru, Gor­don Ram­say’s Maze Grill and Tokyo im­port Sushi Saito. All re­sults will be pub­lished in the 2019 edi­tion of T.din­ing Best Restau­rants, avail­able at all good book­stores from Novem­ber 20.
