PAUL KAY
The Hong Kong-based writer meets the founders of Wonderfruit, Asia’s hippest music festival, in World of Wonder (p.168) If you could attend any concert from the past, what would it be? Queen at Wembley in 1986. Stadium rock at its most epic. What are you reading? I just finished A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami. Wonderfully weird. Do you have a dream interviewee? I’d love to speak to Diego Maradona, one of my first footballing heroes and a man possessed by genius and madness in equal measures. What’s your favourite album? I could never pick just one. Can I give you my top 100? Will you be at Wonderfruit this year, and what was the best part last year? Of course! The sunrises, fire spinning and great music were a potent mix, but it really is the people who make it such a special festival.
