The First Initiative Foundation joins Tai Kwun in a cultural collaboration

T he First Initiative Foundation celebrates its latest initiative, The Art of Music, on December 1 with a creative gathering of music and art in collaboration with the Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts. Friends of foundation chairwoman Michelle Ong (left), including Peter Lam, Timothy Fok and Henry Tang, will be among the guests admiring a special light installation by local artist Karen Chan before dining at the Chinese Library. The gathering will then move to the JC Cube auditorium for a recital by acclaimed British pianist Clive Britton of an 1837 composition inspired by Raphael’s 1504 painting The Marriage of the Virgin, which will be in the room during the recital. The foundation runs scholarship, mentorship, masterclass and outreach programmes to ensure Hong Kong’s cultural heritage reaches as many people as possible. fif.org.hk
