A lways a highlight of the social calendar, the Hong Kong Ballet Ball takes place on December 4 at the Grand Hyatt. Arriving guests will find themselves enveloped by “The Great Gatsby Soiree,” so named and themed in honour of artistic director Septime Webre’s production of The Great Gatsby, which opens in February. A highlight of the night will be the live auction in collaboration with Landmark, during which Christmas trees decorated by Balmain, Cartier and Jimmy Choo in their signature styles will be sold to raise funds for the Hong Kong Ballet’s “Ballet For All” campaign. All funds raised from the campaign will go towards a relaxed performance benefitting those with special needs.
