The model, It-girl and latest beauty ambassador for Chanel is better known by her stage name, Kōki, and is the daughter of two of Japan’s pop idols. She shares her thoughts on make-up and being beautiful

What two beauty products are always in your handbag? Mascara and lipstick. (Above, Kōki wears Chanel’s Rouge Allure Liquid Powder in #960)

What do you love about modelling? I enjoy the communication between myself and the photographer, wearing different outfits and thinking of various characters I play as I wear them.

Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen. Who are your fashion icons?

Who is the most beautiful person in the world? For me it’s my mum (Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo). She has the largest, strongest and kindest heart in the world and she always thinks about me before herself. She is truly the best and I feel so lucky to be her daughter.

After washing my face, I put on an essence with a gentle massage to wake myself up. I am in love with Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Micro Liquid Essence because it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. How do you take care of your skin?

Describe yourself in three words. Competitive, emotional and passionate.
