The Community Chest Walk for Millions celebrates its 50th anniversary

The Community Chest’s flagship and longest-running fundraiser, the Walk for Millions, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. In the past, the event has been divided into two walks, in the New Territories and Kowloon or Hong Kong Island. But the organising committee, chaired by 500 Lister Wilson Pong, has decided the 50th Anniversary Walk for Millions, to take place on January 6, will be a single walk along the new Centralwan Chai Bypass. Participants join in teams and raise funds for the Community Chest by inviting friends and family to sponsor their walks.
