Determination of Crocins-I Content in Gardenia Exclusively Used for Zhuyeqing Liquor by HPLC

Abstract: HPLC was applied in the determination of crocins- I content in gardenia exclusively used for Zhuyeqing Liquor. The linear relationship of crocins- I, and the precision, stability, repeatability and recovery of HPLC were investigated. The results showed that, the average content of crocins- I in gardenia was 0.594 % and RSD was 1.63 %. HPLC had a good linear relationship, and its precision, stability, reproducibility and recovery met the requirements (RSD<3 %). The study could provide useful reference for the research on the efficient compositions in Zhuyeqing Liquor. Key words: gardenia; crocins-I; HPLC
