China's State Council announced at the end of 2017 that China will ban any commercial processing and sales of ivory from December 31, 2017. The People’s Daily reported the news and illustrated some other examples of brutality against wild animals, including seals, pangolins and tigers, calling on netizens to boycott wild animal products.
“Behind the sales lie blood and brutality… Save them. Do not abuse and kill wild animals and do not buy any products made from them.”
