Tag Heuer Makes a Splash at Goodwood
Formula 1 legend Alain Prost also joined in the festivities, who at the event unveiled a very personal photo exhibit that featured over 100 images capturing great moments in his storied Formula 1 racing career. Making this edition particularly memorable, the brand set up a motor-racing exhibition that showcased high performance vehicles, including the McLaren MP4/4, which was driven by none other than Ayrton Senna in 1988; and the mind-boggling MadMax bike, a motorcycle powered by a helicopter gas turbine engine capable of speeds of up to 233.7mph. Visitors were also given the chance to preview four new Senna Tag Heuer watches and the McLaren limited edition, which were launched exclusively at the festival. Among those seen gallivanting about the showrooms were Daisy Lowe, Gene Simmons, and race drivers, Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Freddie Hunt. On its 5th year as official timing partner to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and in celebration of Jack Heuer’s 80th birthday, Tag Heuer pulled out all the stops, bringing along with them a motor exhibition that will make any racing enthusiast weak to the knees; a crew of big names in the world of showbiz and racing; and five special edition watches.
