Jaquet Droz has a particularly a nity for the Chinese market; the brand’s founder was a master of automatons, which drew particular a ection from the Forbidden City during the 18th century. The brand was especially inspired for the Year of the Rooster, as it presents four timepieces to commemorate it. The first, the Petite Heure Minute Rooster, applies a miniature painting of the rooster on top of a Grand Feu enamel dial, in both a 35mm and a 39mm red gold case. The second, the Petite Heure Minute Relief Rooster – the devil is in the details – uses a mother-of-pearl dial inlaid with jadeite with an applied gold rooster relief sculpture, in either a red gold or white gold 41mm case.
