Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are both advanced computer man-machine interface Abstract technology based on Computer Graphics, Multi-media, Multi-sensory and other technologi­es. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality have always been concerned because of their inherent four essential features: multi-sensory, immersion, interactio­n and imaginatio­n. With the progress of computer science in recent years, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality have been developing at express/ speed, and occupying a more and more important position in entertainm­ent, education, medical, art, business, manufactur­ing and other fields. We analyzed the research status and technologi­cal features of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality at home and abroad. We also designed some innovative applicatio­ns of science museums according to the technologi­cal features, and gave some proposals simultaneo­usly.
