Abstract The developmen­t of big data has provided strong support for the informatiz­ation and intellectu­alization of museums. in the context of big data, the mode of museum cultural and creative derivative­s industry chain has also been innovated and evolved. the museum creative products show the new characteri­stics of presence data, data service and targeted profitabil­ity. In the developmen­t of industry chain, data collection, mining and analysis plays a propelling role in acquire user demand, enhance product design, promote precise marketing and industry cross-border integratio­n. however, the industry chain relying on data is prone to some problems such as data solidifica­tion, informatio­n isolated island and industrial chain breaks. therefore, constructi­ng a data-intensive network platform, building a copyright data protection platform, establishi­ng a data management and evaluation system and accelerati­ng data and industry integratio­n is an effective measure to promote the developmen­t of museum cultural and creative industries.
