NAIS Pudong welcomes the Year of the Ox

- Happy

Nord Anglia International School Pudong students participated in the school’s Annual Temple Fair. They were able to practice calligraphy, make lanterns, decorate book marks and learn kung fu.

THE film “Life Is Beautiful” should be remembered forever. This movie was made in 1997 and won three Academy Awards.

It is about a couple and a child living during World War II. They are really happy until the Nazis take the woman’s husband and child because they are Jewish.

The film has many morals, and some are emotional and pull on your heart strings.

“Family is everything” is the main moral of the film.

In the movie, the woman, who is not Jewish herself, risks her life and demands the Nazis to take her as a concentration camp prisoner so she can be with her husband and son.

While at the camp, the father continues to save his son from being hurt by the Nazis.

“Life Is Beautiful” is also a film rich in history, as you can learn what a concentration camp was like during a very horrible period of time.

Another reason I love this movie is that it incorporates black comedy into this horrific event.

I hate movies that feature someone dying or bloodshed, which is the reality of World War II.

So for other film enthusiasts who also hate bloodshed movies I would recommend this one. There’s very little bloodshed and the characters make it enjoyable.

This film will melt your heart and take your breath away. At the end of the movie, you will hug your mum and dad tightly and realize how important family is.
