‘A World Without Us’
The exhibition showcases artist Zhang Fengyuan’s recent tapestry works made of cotton and wool. In her work Zhang creates semiabstract gardens, animal silhouettes, tranquil rivers and layers of mountain landscapes, celebrating the mythology of life and nature. Each speaks for a different knitting pattern or weaving technique with which the 27-year-old artist has been experimented in an improvised way.
The highlight goes to a hand-woven installation “Around the Dry Valleys,” which showcases another possiblity of her work in a 3D design.
