Xintiandi Design Fest ‘House of DOTs’

To mark the 20th anniversary of Shanghai Xintiandi, an exhibition titled “Design Shanghai” is underway. Featuring 20 installation artworks under the theme

PG i/FXt-JGFt-JWJOH w UIF design festival has invited both young and old artists to work together. It brings people from different parts of the organization together for their different knowledge, expertise and input in design thinking to design a better life.

Designed by French artist Camille Walala, the complex has six rooms, featuring Walala’s explosively colorful and unique visual designs that are expected to inspire children’s imagination and creativity. Visitors will get the feeling of entering a utopian dream when flitting about the rooms. Shows and interactive activities will also be organized during the Kids Art Festival, which runs till the middle of September. This year’s festival highlights charity and sports. A pets charity market, street dance show and an urban orienteering family challenge are pending on the festival’s activity list.

Disney Celebration

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, a number of parties will be held in the Disneytown for visitors to dress up and dance. A Celebration Interactive Wall will invite visitors to fill the patterns on the wall with colorful stickers to create a special “birthday gift” for Shanghai Disney Resort. The picturesque Wishing Star Park offers a world of natural wonder, where families with kids can opt to join a series of nature adventure workshops. Hours: 10am-9pm
