A total of 3,500 residential transactions and HK$37.083 billion were registered in September 2018, down 27.4% and 20.7% m-o-m respectively, according to information from the Land Registry. Primary transactions were down by 16% m-o-m to 1,252 cases, while secondary transactions were down 32.5% m-o-m to 2,248 cases. In September, the Mass Residential Index and Shatin-central Link Index decreased by 3.8% m-o-m and 3.1% m-o-m respectively. Over the same period, the Kowloon East Index was down 6.1% m-o-m, whilst the Luxury Index reported a 4.5% m-o-m decrease.
