Her Majesty’s Treasures

The new Cartier Royal Collection is testament to the brand’s illustrious history as a jeweller of kings

-

From an official supplier to monarchs of the European and Asian dynasties of the early 20th century, to a favoured jeweller of Indian maharajahs, Cartier has been a source of exquisite jewellery since the 1850s. This year, the house presents a collection of jewellery designed, above all, to convey Cartier’s love of, and expertise in, gemstones fit for royalty. The range features truly exceptional gems, such as a 30.21-carat pear-shaped internally flawless, D-colour diamond, a 29.06-carat cornflower blue sapphire and a 26.60-carat Colombian emerald.

Driven by this passion for stones, Cartier has demonstrated excellence in transforming these memorable gems into elegant masterpieces. The Cartier Royal Collection is the result of the tireless search and acquisition of unique gemstones, the stories behind them adding that extra touch of soul that renders them unforgettable.

A pioneer when it introduced platinum to jewellery, Cartier also leads the way in talent and boldness with its combinations of colours—such as blue and green, or the Tutti Frutti style, and also in the freedom with which it combines diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones.

At Cartier, colour transcends age; it travels beyond trends and sets the tone. It is combined, mixed and blended, exuding passion, joy and vitality. In order to heighten sparkle and mastery of volume, Cartier adds an array of cuts to the mix.

More than a century and a half after the firm was founded, Cartier’s boutiques are still hosts to today’s aristocrats, a place to find a magnificent piece worth of their rank. Platinum necklace and earrings with Madagascar and Ceylon
