Pulling Strings
Between taking direction and posing for her shots, our affable cover star, Queenie Rosita Law, managed to stay on top of client calls
As she jumped around the Chai Wan set for our cover shoot, Queenie Rosita Law talked enthusiastically about her recent trip to Taipei, where she’d attended a Coldplay concert with friends—fashion designer Melissa Bui, the Armoury’s Alan See and his wife, Alexa Bui, and Ruth Chao from Indicube. When it came to the clothes, Queenie particularly loved those by Victoria Beckham. She admitted to being afraid of wearing them because they’re quite form-fitting, but she looked amazing. For the final look, a blue off-theshoulder top by local designer P’IA, the Tatler team had to attach fishing line to the sleeves so they could be kept voluminous and puffy. The photographer, who’d flown in from Spain and rushed straight from the airport to the shoot, mused that it made Queenie look like a puppet. Ever the hardworking entrepreneur, Queenie took client calls between shots and during lunch to ensure she stayed on top of things at the office. Then again, as a photography production professional herself, this was not her first shoot.
