Lucia Magnani Skin Care, infused with minerals found in the ancient waters of Italy, is changing beauty from the inside out
Beauty achieved through holistic wellness is relatively novel concept in the cosmetic world. But for Lucia Magnani, a biochemical analyst and the CEO of awardwinning Italian medical spa Castrocaro Terme, the science of “ben essere”—wellbeing in Italian—is the heart and soul of Lucia Magnani Skin Care.
The result of more than 20 years research, Lucia Magnani Skin Care is a luxuriously designed, high-performance collection of antioxidant-based skincare products now available at Hong Kong’s Harvey Nichols stores, following its launch last year year in London with big fan Joan Collins as guest of honour.
The collection is based on Magnani’s original wellness programme Long Life Formula, which harnesses the properties of scientifically proven ingredients to prevent ageing in the skin from the inside out. In each product, carefully selected antioxidants COQ10, vitamin E, vitamin C and alpha lipoic acid are combined with earthy elements such as quartz and mineral-rich green salso-bromo-iodic waters—sourced from the Italian town Castrocaro Terme—for optimal benefits.
“Antioxidants help contrast the ageing process, while minerals send vibrations to the skin with positive energy,” says Magnani. “Our collection’s uniqueness lies in the combination of these elements that you cannot find anywhere else.”
The collection’s packaging, designed by Marc Rosen, are the height of Italian elegance, and deserve pride of place on your vanity dresser. Inspired by nature, the crystal clear oval jars are topped with Italian tortoiseshell-patterned caps in slanted and uneven shapes—echoing the rivers of life.
The luxurious range spans moisturisers, masks, serums, toners and supplements. Magnani recommends starting your daily regime with a cleanser, the antioxidant-rich rejuvenating serum, and a dab of the illuminating eye cream, before finishing with a day or night moisturiser. A spritz or two of the refreshing energising toner, which comes in a luxurious spray bottle, provides your skin a perfect mid-day boost.
“I want women to feel beautiful, not just look beautiful. The uniqueness that each woman expresses should be through valuing and enhancing the natural beauty of her skin and body, on the basis of general wellbeing. My new skin care line enhances this uniqueness,” says Magnani.
