HOLIDAY WATCH:

I’ll usually bring either my Cartier Tank Francaise or a stainless steel Rolex sports model—watches that go with everything and that I don’t have to worry about being ruined if I go swimming or jump in the sea while wearing one of them.

BLACK TIE WATCH

I’d probably ask to borrow my mum’s beautiful vintage Must de Cartier— which she’s had since I was born—or her Chanel Première watch. I used to wear a Franck Muller Long Island with diamonds but I recently traded it for another watch now that I’m working for Watchbox.

SENTIMENTAL REASONS

My Cartier Tank Francaise. It was the first watch I ever owned, given to me by my godfather on my 18th birthday. I hadn’t worn it for a few years but last summer I once again fell in love with its simplicity and timelessness.

EVERYDAY WATCH

My everyday watch is a rose gold Ballon Bleu de Cartier, a Christmas gift from my parents a few years ago. I love that it’s so versatile—i can wear it day or evening—and just changing the strap can give it a totally new look. For years I wore it every day but since taking on this new job I’ve become more interested in watches that make a statement. These days I wear my Cartier Ballon Bleu, a Rolex Daytona, or a Panerai Radiomir, depending on my mood and what I’m wearing.

ON MY RADAR

I love the Rainbox Rolex Daytona that was released at Baselworld this year, but I would have to trade in quite a few watches to be able to buy it. If I look at my collection as a whole I would eventually love to add a Jaeger-lecoutlre Reverso, a vintage Rolex 36mm Daydate, and a Patek Philippe Nautilus.
