Bold Blooms
Bulgari introduces a new and dazzling diamond jewellery collection called Fiorever
Flowers, the perfect manifestations of nature’s handiwork, have delighted humans throughout history, inciting women to adorn their bodies with all manner of floral accoutrements. The stunning colours and forms of blooms have long been a source of inspiration for jewellers, including the luxury Roman house of Bulgari.
Indeed, the Italian maison has been designing and crafting floral jewellery pieces since the 1920s. One of Bulgari’s most memorable lines is the Tremblant range of floral brooches from the 1960s. Mounted on spring settings, the precious blooms vibrate with every movement, as if rustling in a soft breeze.
Through the decades, Bulgari has continually explored the floral motif in different ways, such as in the Giardinetto brooches of the 1960s, the Naturalia collection of nature-inspired pieces of the 1990s and, more recently, the Giardini Italiani collection, inspired by the most beautiful gardens of the Italian Renaissance, released in 2015, and the colourful floral motif earrings from the Mediterranean Eden collection in 2016. Each collection boasts pieces inspired by dazzling blooms, all interpreted with unrivalled craftsmanship and bold creativity.
And just in time to greet the festive season and drive the autumn blues away is another fresh new bouquet—the Fiorever collection of diamond jewellery. This enchanting assemblage was launched recently in the Middle East, at the Bulgari Resort Dubai. The special unveiling was curated in collaboration with Japanese flower artist Makoto Azuma. Among those who attended the launch party were celebrities, A-listers, top media representatives and influencers.
The name Fiorever is whimsically coined from the Italian word for flower, which is fiore, and the English word forever. The collection is inspired by the four-petal flower motif, a Roman symbol of happiness and joy, which can be found in the garden frescos of Villa di Livia, the sculptures of Palazzo Massimo, and the ceiling mosaics of the Santa Costanza Mausoleum, all in Rome.
The gemstones and craftsmanship of the new collection are everything you would expect from the house of Bulgari. Fiorever features scintillating diamonds of the highest grade (colour D-F and clarity IF-VVS) set in 18K white gold or 18K rose gold featuring bold lines to form the flower motif. At the heart of each bloom sits a precious solitaire ranging from 0.10 to 0.50 carats. Around this immutable heart, the petals of each exquisite flower tilt upward to display Bulgari’s trademark style of design through volume.
The result is an exquisite collection of diamond pieces that animate life and are made for wearing and enjoying. The collection consists of 24 pieces, including necklaces, bracelets and rings, but is expected to grow over time.
While Fiorever adds a new chapter to Bulgari’s portfolio of flower-inspired jewellery, the brand never veers from its design ethos, which is to make jewellery that is more wearable, less conventional and more precious. As such, pieces from the Fiorever collection can be worn individually or as a set to suit any occasion.
In the new Bulgari campaign shot by acclaimed photographer Mario Sorrenti, the Fiorever woman is represented by Spanish actress Úrsula Corberó. The Barcelona native is a breakout celebrity on the international scene, thanks to her stellar performance in the hit Netflix series La Casa de Papel, known in English as Money Heist. Always exuding an irresistible positivity, Corberó possesses the intrinsic Roman joy of life and a lighthearted spontaneity that makes her the quintessential Fiorever woman, one confident in her own instincts and who never compromises.
