No one appreciates the benefits of flying in business class more than passengers who regularly travel for work. They know full well that a comfortable, relaxing trip in the air makes for increased productivity on the ground. Which is why savvy business-class travellers have plenty of reasons to celebrate, with Cathay Pacific introducing a number of new perks, including a menu featuring an authentic taste of Hong Kong, an amenity bag and luxury bed linen from renowned British brand Bamford, and more.

The new additions are only what business class passengers have come to expect, given Cathay Pacific’s already sterling service and amenities. That said, the airline provides thoughtful benefits before you’ve even left the tarmac—there’s priority check-in, priority boarding, a generous luggage allowance and access to its lounges around the world, including flagship lounges in Hong Kong, the home of Cathay Pacific.

On board, Cathay Pacific’s cabin crew will greet you by name, and throughout the flight provide you with observant, attentive, prompt service while respecting your personal space.

That space is wonderfully private and features seats that can be easily customised with one click sitting and sleeping settings. When it’s time to sleep, passengers can stretch out in a fully flat bed, now made more comfortable with larger plush pillows and a two-piece duvet and cushioning mattress topper from Bamford. Passengers will also be given supple slippers and a largersized cotton eye mask, so they can get some shut-eye without being distracted by other passengers watching their touchscreen televisions.

During the flight, passengers can freshen up with the airline’s new amenity kit that includes a body lotion, face mist and lip cream from Bamford, allowing them to momentarily experience the smells and feel of a Bamford spa.

The business class menu features selections suitable for all palates and appetites, with the airline introducing a pre-select service for certain long-haul flights. Cathay Pacific will be introducing more options for the appetizer, while choices for the main course now includes the newly created Hong Kong Flavours menu, featuring local favourites such as fish balls and fish cake from popular restaurant Pak Loh, served with ho fan noodles in soup. During December, the Hong Kong Flavours menu will include dishes such as wok-fried chicken with shrimp, dried fish, cashew nuts and garlic chives, served with rice. There will also be healthy options for passengers opting to eat lightly and a new, more convenient way to serve breakfast. And for those wanting to pair their meal with a glass of wine, Cathay Pacific’s list is one of the world’s best cellars in the sky. Cheers to a great journey ahead.
