YOSHIYUKI MIYAMAE

The visionary designer, having seen an Issey Miyake show in Tokyo, was inspired to join the house in 2001. He became responsible for inventing the 3D Steam Stretch pieces that melded techniques from Pleats Please and A-POC, and used steam heat to shrink cloth into shape. He also collaborated with Sony to create e-ink bags out of the same material used in e-books for his springsummer 2017 collection.
