A HIGHER BID
Four of Jean-claude Biver’s wristwatches are going on the block at Phillips’ next watch auction at Geneva’s Hôtel La Réserve. The 70-year-old innovator has spent nearly five decades in the watch industry and is best known for catapulting Blancpain and Hublot into the spotlight. Now a non-executive president of the LVMH Group Watch Division, Biver is a wellknown and respected Patek collector who is finally ready to part with his 1948 Patek Philippe Ref 1518 in pink gold, which is estimated at HK$9.5 million to HK$19 million.
