Tatler Hong Kong

Alphabet City

Multifaceted artist Kenny Leung draws, takes photographs and makes prints, but he is best known for his paintings of Hong Kong buildings and streets reimagined in the shape of animals. And when it came to drawing Happy Valley, home to one of the world’s most famous racecourses, Leung knew there was only animal that fit the bill: a horse. “I don’t like to gamble, but I did go to the races a few years ago at a company event,” says Leung. “What an exciting evening. We had dinner at the racecourse and had a spectacular view of the finish line. But I was unlucky—i didn’t win anything.”
