The late martial artist Ip Man is a legend in Hong Kong, both for popularising the wing chun style of kung fu and for nurturing one very famous student. “I admire him very much—it is amazing that he cultivated a martial arts master like Bruce Lee,” says artist Rex Koo. The character of Ip Man has appeared in dozens of films and TV shows, including a film series starring Donnie Yen, and Wong Kar-wai’s The Grandmaster, in which Tony Leung plays the legendary martial artist. “I love Ip Man: The Final Fight starring Anthony Wong the most,” says Koo. “I think his interpretation is closest to the real Ip Man.”
