BUSAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The 26th edition of South Korea’s largest international film festival, and one of the largest in Asia, celebrates the best contemporary films from both Asia and the West. A total of 192 films from 68 countries were entered last year. Films and actors are in the running for 17 honours, including the New Currents Award, which recognises up-andcoming filmmakers; and the Asian Filmmaker of the Year, which celebrates the long-term contributions of an Asian director who works to advance the Asian film industry and culture.
