Liu Xiaodong is a pioneering realist painter. More than 100 of his works have been on show this year at UCCA Edge, the UCCA Centre for Contemporary Art’s new Shanghai outpost, in an exhibition that was curated by UCCA’S director Philip Tinari and curator Yan Fang.
