Bvlgari introduces new designs to its Serpenti Viper collection

-

Launched in the 1940s, the Serpenti snake has become an icon of the Bvlgari brand, one that encapsulates the mysterious, seductive charm of the creatures in a dazzling collection of watches and jewellery. Just as a snake will regularly shed its skin as part of its metamorphosis, the Serpenti collection has continued to evolve to retain its allure, most recently with new additions to the Serpenti Viper collection.

From the very first Bvlgari Secret Serpenti gemset watch that was created in the 1940s to the first jewellery collections launched in the 1960s, the snake has grown to be a distinctive symbol of the Bvlgari house and its bold and fierce spirit.

The collections that were produced during the 1970s featured a more animalistic look that has since given way to a more stylised and geometric design that gives it an art deco flavour; the angular scales providing an intriguing contrast to the sinuous form that has become characteristic of a Serpenti creation. The Roman jewellery brand has recently added a contemporary twist and a cosmopolitan sensibility to the range with the Serpenti Viper collection, which features a selection of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings.

The creation of each entry in the collection involves an unparalleled level of craftsmanship. A close look at a piece of jewellery from the collection reveals a modular construction where each scale is inserted individually to form the whole snake. The resulting piece of jewellery wraps around your neck, wrist or finger.

Each Serpenti piece is made with a confident and empowered woman in mind; one who is not afraid to follow their instincts, forge their own

path and discover a new version of themselves. The Serpenti Viper collection echoes just that. Featuring pieces in white, yellow and rose gold, the collection features eye-catching items that serve as elegant metaphorical armour, empowering the wearer for the challenges and opportunities of the day.

Bracelets and rings are key pillars of the Serpenti range, and in the Serpenti Viper collection, they come in a range of options to suit different personalities. The rings and bracelets are available in a simple design featuring the scales only, or one featuring both the head and tail of the Serpenti snake, with a single or double coil. The latest designs feature diamonds embedded in the body or set only in the head and tail of the snake. Other designs include an alternating pattern of plain scales and those embedded with diamonds; scales set with diamonds and mother of pearl; and one without any embellishments at all for a more streamlined look. Personalisation services are also available for the latter two designs. Other new additions to the collection include earrings with a double coil design embellished with diamonds, and a matching pendant accompanied by an elegant chain necklace for an understated but eye-catching set that adds just the right amount of sparkle to an outfit. Another new design coils the snake’s sinuous body around the neck, with the option to have your piece set with diamonds throughout, or embellishing the head and tail only. With its modern interpretation of the brand’s timehonoured design, the Serpenti Viper collection is welcoming a new, daring generation of Bvlgari fans.
