Hong Kong artist Lau Hiu Tung’s first solo exhibition is named after and inspired by French surrealist photographer Claude Cahun’s 1927 self-portrait, which explores the relationship between gender and performance. Expanding Cahun’s idea to modern gym culture, Lau explores gender tropes and representation.
