Across the Miles
Award-winning interior design studio Atelier Lane continue their journey in Hong Kong
Founded in Sydney in 2008, Atelier Lane is known for its signature style of open, clean lines, balance and form. Celebrating innovative design, the interdisciplinary studio takes a refined approach to its concepts.
Founder Ellie Bradley’s decision to open a studio in 2017 in Hong Kong, the city her husband and partner grew up in, proved wise, as her successful track record in transforming apartments and houses in this fashion-forward city shows.
Specialising in refined, contemporary interiors, Ellie and Richard’s designs can be found in residential and commercial projects around the world. Over the years, the studio has been recognised in numerous prestigious awards, most recently by the International Design Awards 2021 for a residential project in Sheung Wan.
That project in particular is an example of the studio’s minimalistic yet sophisticated approach. Light and airy, the spacious, east-meets-west apartment is dipped in soft, calming pastel colours, contrasting with the building’s industrial aesthetic. The bathrooms and kitchen were redesigned and showcased bespoke cabinetry and built-in furniture that ensured the space was flexible and functional. The final result is a familyoriented space that effortlessly blends work and entertainment.
To complement their luxury interiors, Atelier Lane also design bespoke furniture, rugs and textiles to ensure each project is unique and satisfies their clients’ exacting standards.
