Lucky Pharaoh, Gamma Hedger, Lucky Kaptain, Ser Chimpsworth and Lucky Dev, who all go by pseudonyms in the metaverse, used to work in the financial markets together. That goes some way to explaining why their NFT project is a collection of 5,888 “lucky money cats”— some holding Hong Kong icons such as bubble tea and lanterns. Gamma Hedger observes that most NFT projects are geared towards classic American culture, which inspired his Hong Kong-based team to create a project that focuses on Asian culture.

“We’re working towards bringing the NFT space into the real world,” says Gamma Hedger. “We want to create physical clubs and meet-ups for holders, where they can learn more about crypto, have fun and grow together as a community.” The team also plans to host a museum pop-up that showcases art, and to create launchpads for phone, lifestyle and fashion companies.
