CULTURE CLASH
A conversation between Richard Mille and twotime Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso sparked the creation of the RM47 Tourbillon, a limited edition of 75. Alonso has a passion for Japanese arts and the principles of the samurai, resulting in this new timepiece, a tribute to Japan’s culture. Within the case is a hand-engraved and painted samurai, comprised of 3N yellow gold to evoke the gold leaf used in traditional craftsmanship in ancient Japan.
