The jet-powered hoverboard Flyborn Air is an aviation game changer

For who've crossed highlining, ice climbing or other extreme adventures off their bucket list, consider flying a super-fast device anytime, anywhere you want. Flyboard Air hoverboard, one of the latest creations by former professional French jet ski champion Franky Zapata, allows users to literally fly untethered through the sky to a maximum height of 10,000 ft and for up to 10 minutes using an “Independent Propulsion Unit”.

In 2016, Zapata, a Guinness recordholder, took the newly debuted innovation for a spin and travelled more than 2,252 meters off the French Atlantic coastal town. The pioneering invention, which was considered by the US Army for combat use, is not for the faint-hearted. Core body strength is key to mastering the device, and beginners are recommended to keep their flights over water instead of land.

Despite looking dangerously risky, it's safe to assume thrill seekers will be looking to jump on this hovering bandwagon.
