Welcome to the Spring 2021 issue of The Peninsula Magazine.
In March 2021, we were delighted to celebrate the reopening of the guest rooms and spa at The Peninsula Paris and the hotel is pleased to extend a collection of special “welcome back” offers to its clientele. These offers allow guests to reconnect with the property's exquisite amenities and service in safety and our well-renowned Peninsula comfort.
We are delighted to have launched “The Peninsula Promise”, the latest initiative in our commitment to providing a superlative guest experience. This programme introduces a range of special offers that further enhance the luxury and convenience of our guests, while setting new standards in the hospitality industry. This issue also focuses on craftsmanship, which has played an integral role in the creation of all of our properties. We take you on a tour of some of the world's most prestigious establishments in the field of decorative arts, including the photography section of The Royal Collection – one of the largest and most important art collections in the world – and one of the last great European royal collections to remain intact.
We take you to Florida, where the Boca Raton Museum of Art is currently presenting the U.S. premiere of “Glasstress 21”. This features an exhibition of works by 34 of the world's leading contemporary artists made in Venice, which is also a tribute to the resilience of the Italian city surviving the floods and continuing to make art through the pandemic.
Automobile craftsmanship comes in the form of the results of this year's Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award, our annual classic car showcase which exemplifies the synergy of artistry and engineering, and the immaculate restoration and preservation of heritage.
Last but not least, we meet stage and costume designer Clint Ramos, the first Filipino to be nominated for two Tony Awards, a truly impressive creative achievement.
