Offering Vocational Guidance to Women
Shanghai Women's Federation recently hosted a job fair (for women), during which the federation's officials announced their plan to implement the Shanghai Young Women's Vocational Development Project. The event was held in Shanghai University of Engineering Science.
In 2008, the federation launched the project, under which women entrepreneurs share their career-development experiences with female university students, and career coaches provide professional training to the young women and offer suggestions on how to promote their career development. So far, 83,873 women have benefited from the project.
This year, the federation's officials will invite women entrepreneurs to share their experiences of starting their own businesses. The officials will also arrange for the students to attend professional training, during which the career coaches will select the students' excellent plans for starting businesses.
