On September 17, a cadre with Jinzhou Women's Federation received a phone call from Tong Tong, a cadre with Tacheng Women's Federation. Tong said she and her colleagues were pleased to receive more than 5,000 yuan (US $746) worth of school-related accessories, and a combined 1,000 woolen products (including sweaters, gloves and scarves) sent by the cadres in Jinzhou, a city in Northeast China's Liaoning Province, to children in Tacheng, a region in Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. "Thank you so much. Our kids can stay warm during winter," said Tong. To help children who are vulnerable, the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) and Hengyuanxiang (Group) Co., Ltd. in 2005 initiated the Heng'ai (Eternal Love) Action. Organizers have since encouraged women, from all walks of life, to knit sweaters for disabled and orphaned children. Organizers have also collected winter clothes to offer to the children. In response to ACWF'S call to promote the Heng'ai Action, the Jinzhou Women's Federation at the end of 2017 called on residents to knit sweaters and other woolen products for children who are vulnerable (including orphans, disabled children, migrant children, impoverished children and left-behind children) in Tacheng.
