Massage is the general term for pressing, rubbing and manipulating the skin, muscles and ligaments. Massage therapists typically use their hands and fingers, but sometimes they use their forearms, elbows and/or feet. Massage therapy is a simple, effective way to improve your health; all you need to do is lie on a bed, and let the therapist do the work. After, you will surely feel like a new person. But do you know pediatric-massage therapy has many miraculous health benefits?

Chen Jianling, 46, a native of Foshan (a city in South China's Guangdong Province), has dedicated her life to promoting pediatric-massage therapy. In December 2011, she established Foshan Jiayouernü Health Technology Co., Ltd. Before that, she had served as a senior manager with several State-owned enterprises and foreign enterprises (in Foshan). During the past several years, she has led her employees in developing and promoting, via the company's online platform, pediatric-massage therapy.

"Despite the passage of time, I remember my original dream of helping mothers improve their childrens' health," says Chen.

More than 10 years ago, Chen gave birth to her daughter. As she, who was a senior manager with a State-owned enterprise, often worked overtime, she had little time to take care of her baby.

"My poor little girl was often ill. My heart ached each time I saw her suffer so much pain when I took her to a hospital. So, I decided to think of ways to help my daughter improve her physique," Chen recalls.

One day, in 2013, she learned that pediatric-massage therapy had notable health benefits. In August 2013, she made a special trip to Beijing, to study massage therapy under the guidance of Wang Lixin and Wang Yan, both doctors with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Chen eventually mastered the TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) theory of massage therapy. She also learned how to use different hand manipulations to help treat children's diseases.

A few months later, Chen gave birth to her second daughter. She began using pediatric-massage therapy to help her children, and her friends and relatives' kids, improve their health. At first, some of her friends and relatives doubted whether the therapy would work. As the saying goes, "Facts speak louder than words." The kids, who suffered from colds, fevers and/ or indigestion, got better after they received several massage-therapy treatments. That inspired Chen to establish an enterprise that provides pediatric-massage services to children.

Before she established her company, Chen made special trips to Shandong, Henan and Liaoning, to conduct market surveys on pediatric-massage services. Then, she developed solutions to problems that hindered the development of enterprises that provided the services to children.

Chen decided to establish a work mechanism, so her employees could provide standardized services, including diagnoses and massage treatments, to children. Wang Lixin, who approved Chen's idea,
