Preston Bailey ups the ante on the dazzling design in Wynn’s Atriums as he debuts a pair of fantastica­l floral installati­ons.

How do you take one of Wynn Las Vegas’s most photo-centric spots and turn it into a destinatio­n even more captivatin­g? You call Preston Bailey, of course. The celebrated New York–based floral and events designer specialize­s in crafting dazzling spectacles, so when Steve Wynn was seeking an updated look for his Atriums— already among the most popular locations for photograph­s between his two Las Vegas resorts—he knew Bailey was the perfect choice. “We explore natural things like water, sunshine, and beautiful flowers,” Wynn says. “Preston Bailey is someone who brings life to our ideas and creates new and beautiful things.” Unveiled November 25, Bailey’s work has indeed created an instant “wow.” The two floral installati­ons are comprised of a hot-air balloon and a carousel—whimsical ideas both, and with one, Wynn wanted to push the design just a little further. “I originally saw the carousel as this static object, but Mr. Wynn envisioned it as a carousel in motion,” Bailey explains. “That was a bit of a
