Exclusivit­y is key to the Wynn retail philosophy, and that is just part of why Judith Leiber Couture and Wynn have been in business together since day one. “We have had a very long relationsh­ip with Judith Leiber Couture,” says Wynn Senior Vice President of Retail Hedy Woodrow. “They have been tremendous partners for us.” Likewise, says Judith Leiber’s Creative Director, Jana Matheson, “Exclusivit­y has been at the core of Judith Leiber’s design philosophy since our inception in 1963. We have designed exclusives for many occasions, from leading ladies to first ladies.” The brand has created numerous exclusive items for Wynn over the years, taking inspiratio­n from the resort itself, including Wynn’s signature carpet pattern and butterfly motif. “Since our business attracts collectors, the Judith Leiber team has been extremely supportive of providing our store with very unique one-of-a-kind items,” says Woodrow. Most recently, Matheson was inspired by the dazzling floral carousel in the Wynn atrium (created by designer Preston Bailey) to create a new novelty piece in honor of the launch of the Wynn Collection boutique. Hand-painted and hand-set by a single Italian artisan, each limited-edition clutch features a 19-inch chain, metallic napa leather lining, and top closure, and twinkles with 11,736 crystals in 16 colors.
