Sam Grant is an awardwinning portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Venice Beach, California. For this issue of , Grant traveled with Lakeside Wynn and SW Steakhouse Executive Chef David Walzog to Santa Carota ranch in Bakersfield. “I can honestly say it was the most fun I’ve ever had on a photo shoot,” says Grant. “When I hopped in my car to head up to Bakersfield, I didn’t imagine I’d be riding a horse surrounded by real cowboys only two hours away from my place. My favorite parts of the shoot were riding the horse; finally eating all the incredible food; and when a cowboy pulled a flamethrower from the barn to blast the campfire.”
