EXCELENCIAS DEL MOTOR CLASSIC 200 km SETS NEW RECORD HIGH
THE FOURTH EDITION OF THE EXCELENCIAS DEL MOTOR CLASSIC 200 km RACE, HELD IN 2018, HAS TURNED OUT TO BE A CENTERPIECE IN THE NATIONAL SPORT SCENE. AS MANY AS 290 CYCLISTS ATTENDED CUBA’S LARGEST CYCLING RACE.
The winner in the Elite Category was Frank Sosa, who set a new record for this competition. An outstanding performance was accomplished by Leonardo Pérez (USA) in the Master Category -he won the Master B Raceand by Vicente Sanabria (Matanzas), who finished runner-up as part of the five leading racers. In addition, José Miguel Rodríguez stood out as well as he grabbed the top honor in the Master A Category, while 70-year-old Elier Lázaro Martín crossed the line in second place and was recognized as the oldest racer in the competition.
