TC reality show star to take part in Dancing On Ice contest

TURKISH Cypriot TV reality show star and winner of last year’s Love Island, Kem Çetinay (right) is now starring in the Dancing On Ice celebrity competition.

The 21-year-old from Essex is paired with professional skater Alex Murphy in the Dancing

On Ice TV series after his initial partner Meg Marschall was dropped.

Kem said he took on his latest challenge to try something out of his “comfort zone” while dancing in competition with 11 other celebrity stars.

“I still can’t believe I’m going to be on Dancing On Ice,” he was reported as saying. “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be strapping on a pair of skates and dancing in some lycra. Anyone who knows me will know how competitive I am, so I’m going to work very hard to stay on my feet. I can’t wait to get my skates on.”

The weekly show, which is aired on ITV every Sunday, is back after a three-year break from filming and is said to be different to previous editions, with each professional skater performing their own routines with a celebrity partner. The development was described as a first in the show’s history by creative director Katie Rawcliffe.
