Convicted drug users violate parole terms

TWO convicted drug users on parole were put behind bars this week after violating the terms of their release.

Hüseyin Ütenoğlu was sentenced to three months in prison and Mohammed Khaled Mohammed Tantash to 15 months at a hearing at Girne Assizes Court on Tuesday.

A verdict in the case of a third parole offender, İlkay Dural, was adjourned to January 30. Mr Dural “kicked and smashed the window of the stairway of the court building”, reports said.
