KAR clearance sale

BARGAIN-hunters are urged to take advantage of the last few days of the winter sale at the Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) second-hand clothes shop in Girne.

Half-price winter clothes will be on offer at the venue until next Saturday, March 24, after which stock will be cleared to make way for new spring and summer items.

Donated winter clothing and footwear for women and men, jewellery and handbags are all on sale from 9am to 3pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 1pm today and next Saturday.

Meanwhile volunteers are needed help empty money boxes for Kyrenia Animal Rescue. Following the “retirement” of a collection box volunteer, new volunteers are needed to take over from the beginning of May. The “honest and trustworthy” volunteer will be responsible for a total of 11 boxes, one in Karaoğlanoğlu, seven in Alsancak, two in Lapta and one on the Zeytinlik-Girne border. All of the money is taken to the KAR office in Karakum to be banked. Those interested should call 0533 869 4098.
