‘Burglars’ caught

POLICE say they have smashed a burglary gang after three months of surveillance.

Eight Zimbabweans were arrested on Tuesday at two flats on the Lavinium estate at Boğazköy, from where police recovered TV sets, mobile phones, laptop computers and other goods believed to have been stolen from 15 homes and five shops.

They were remanded in custody by Girne District Court, which heard that three more people were being sought.
