Mu­sic, song and dance at chil­dren’s fes­ti­val

MU­SIC, song and dance are promised as part of fun for all the fam­ily at a char­ity Chil­dren’s Fes­ti­val in Girne next Satur­day, April 21.

The Cyprus Pae­di­atric Re­search, Preven­tion and Treat­ment Foun­da­tion (Ço­hav) is lin­ing up the en­ter­tain­ment for the event be­ing staged at Girne’s The Colony Gar­den to mark April 23’s Na­tional Sovereignty and Chil­dren’s Day — and raise funds to help build a pae­di­atric in­ten­sive care unit at Le­fkoşa State Hospi­tal.

Doors open at noon and the line-up de­signed to ap­peal to young and old alike un­til 7pm in­cludes local band Öldüren Şam­pa­nya, singers Dervişe Çerkez Güryel and her daugh­ter Kayra Hacer Çerkez, and DJ Cenk.

The Cran­ber­ries dance school will also put on a show, while the MasterKids ed­u­ca­tion cen­tre and Camp Cyprus will lay on sci­en­tific and tech­no­log­i­cal games, and a range of stalls will of­fer food and drinks.

Al­most 4,000 tick­ets, at 25TL a head, have al­ready been sold, and more will be avail­able on the door.
